How will my stay work?

When you have received a specialist care referral and are ready to book a visit with us, you can expect the following process:

Our coordinator is responsible for arranging your visit, including everything from booking your trip to making sure that payment is made.

The coordinator will contact you and ask to fill out a questionnaire that describes how well you manage in your daily life, what problems you have and what you want to accomplish with your visit at EX-Center. The coordinator may also ask you for medical journal excerpts and X-rays that your doctor can compile and send to EX-Center. Sometimes new X-rays must be taken.

The coordinator will help you to plan your activities before, during and after your visit. The coordinator will function as your guide for the time you are our patient.

How might a visit to EX-Center work?

Based on the information that we get from the answers you give us in your questionnaire and on your medical journals, the team will estimate how much time you will need with the doctor, the occupational therapist, the physical therapist, and others.

The coordinator will set up a four-day schedule, and book meetings according to your individual needs.

The first person you will meet is the coordinator. The first treatment session is usually with the occupational therapist. The coordinator will arrange the lodging and food, taking your wishes and needs into account.

The visit will be concluded with a discharge session, at which you will meet the whole team to summarise your visit and possible follow-ups. You will have received a great deal of new information about your physical condition and about pain. You will also have new, specific goals of your own and an individual treatment plan.

After your visit the medical team will collect your certificates and medical journal notes, which will be sent back to your referring doctor. Copies will also be sent to you.
