Shad-Afarin Ghassemi Jahani, MD/ PhD, is a senior consultant in orthopaedics surgery and lives in Gothenburg. Since 2019 Shadi is the owner of "Ortopedspecialisten SH”.
She has written her doctoral dissertation on Thalidomide affected people in Sweden, 20xx. Shadi is linked to EX-Center as an expert on Thalidomide issues and is working as a consultant at the EX Center, if necessary. She is appointed by AstraZeneca and the Swedish Government/State to make Thalidomide assessments.
Earlier professional experiences are from orthopaedics surgery at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (2002-2006), Kungälv Hospital (2006-2015) and Frölunda Specialist Hospital (2015-2017). From 2017-2018 she was working as a senior consultant at Centre for Advanced Reconstruction in Extremities and osseointegration unit/ Orthopaedics department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
